| A Million Streamer Songs The radio plays a million streamer songs. Voices scale the rungs of air and are sunk down by times too good and gone. Guitar heroes peek from the jewel cases, the liner notes, nodding sagely, conscious of influence, vicarious regret leaking from shoe bottoms. They gave you the soundtrack gave you the mood, but you wadded up the bargain, soaked it in trash juice and never had the pith to pursue her. So now take a spade to the back of the mind, unearth unfamiliar belly buttons of women naked on the east Oahu bed, curled up like cats in cells of light all sun and skin golden and creaseless. |
