Watercolor Memories

Stalking mystery's surrealists
paved with boundless dismal hues
Watching whirlwinds spin memories
through deep eddies smeared with glue
Dialing psychedelic numbers
buried years ago in stone
Lonely years and yellowed papers
stashed so far away from home
Lifting masks of hidden fancies
dragged through mires damp and cold
Writing policies as usual
with no consequential goals
Painting watercolor fantasies
where the ladies smile wide
Dancing jigs at summer parties
knowing fiction never hides
